Café J is a direct descendant of The Grapevine Restaurant which was derived from a long time downtown destination restaurant on the 20th floor of the Metro Tower, The Continental Room.

Owners Bruce and Denise Jaggers & Ed and Leesa Price continue the avant garde approach to cuisine, decor and dining experience pioneered in Lubbock by George and Cyndi Mayer, then carried forward by Jay Davis.
